The opioid epidemic has touched nearly all of us, and as elected officials it is our job to do our part to put an end to this crisis. While we may not be able to solve this national issue here in town, the Canton Board of Selectmen is still committed to taking steps towards addressing this crisis.
Canton has about 100 miles of road network to maintain. Here I discuss the ways in which road maintenance is funded, as well as how road paving projects are managed and coordinated with other town utility projects. Traffic is a quality of life issue that is important to all of us. Like Chief Fitzpatrick said, Canton has more than quadrupled in size, but kept the same road network. Here are some thoughts on what we can do.
Some notes on how Canton's selectmen have worked to address concerns regarding town trash and recycling services as well as our commitment to continue to work to find a cost effective solution for continuing issues.
This election offers us the opportunity to look back on all that Canton's selectman, with the help and support of town employees and volunteers, have accomplished as a team in the last three years. Equally important, we can take this moment to come together to envision Canton's future, and discuss all the work that remains to be done.
